Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.

I’ve been trying to get better at golf this past year and that’s a saying that always comes up, same thing applies to most emergencies, especially anything you’ll cover in the sim

V1 cuts are still pretty mellow in the EMB-170 and the A320.
The only exciting V1 cuts I’ve ever done were in the Brasilia.

“Check feather” as if you couldn’t already tell by aircraft performance or controllability.

Keeping calm, Chiving on.
Identify the affected engine, and proceed:

Power lever flight idle.

Condition lever, feather then check.

If no feathering is observed: electric feather switch on, then check feather.

Like Rico’s boot camp in Starship Troopers: It was as hard as it needed to be, and on purpose.

I found it ironic our former employer sent “less qualified” applicants to the EM2.
