10,000 hours of TPIC time, five job fairs, two PhD's and a bribe.

And a law degree hurts you. They care more about your hs GPA thant post grad studies.

I interviewed in November, started in January. Chief Pilot/Safety Officer large 91 department, 135 charter, 135 freight background. 6500TT, 1700, TPIC, and 4100 PIC, and 4 types. One job fair, four year degree, and USC Aviation Safety and Security Certificate. Most of my class was civilian with no 737 type.

I think 6000-10,000 has been pretty much par for civilian folks. Many have had managerial responsibilities whether that be check airmen, chief pilots etc. They really seem to love 91/135 folks - probably for the customer service component of their resumes. Good luck!

Wish I was in the position to make a difference for you. Sadly I can not take your tacos under false pretense.

Well even still, the taco offer still stands if you ever get a PDX layover.

I entered my flight time straight out of Log X pro into the Pilot Credential matrix. The totals weren't even close. I gave up and went to bed. I'm too old for this petty B.S.

I flew with a capt about a year ago who had about 4,000 hr TT with exactly 1000 tpic. Nothing special about him except...he went and bought the 737 type. Obviously the 737 type isn't required anymore, but I think it really helps.

Can't win if you don't play. Might as well apply if you're interested and you meet the minimums.

They dropped the PIC turbine requirement. Preferred now.

....It's still going to be against the laws of physics for a civilian to get on without any TPIC....
