A few of my former coworkers do deicing at the airport for a contractor. Others do real estate. Another is a bus driver for the city bus system, a couple others are bartenders.
I've heard if you get a job as a banquet server at a hotel chain, you can work as much or as little as you want (i.e. At least 1 or 2 shifts a month), but then you're considered a hotel employee and are eligible for hotels worldwide at steeply-discounted employee rates. Of course, YMMV on that.
