    Endeavor Air Minneapolis, Minnesota:<BR />OVERVIEW<br />The OCC Shift<br />Manager &#8211; Education Administrator directs and manages Aircraft Dispatchers and Sector<br />Supervisors to ensure flights are operated in accordance with company policies<br />and Federal Aviation Regulations. Provides department wide instruction and<br />curriculum development as directed. <br />RESPONSIBILITIES<br />Provide direction with Crew Scheduling and Maintenance to ensure crew legality and aircraft safety.Manage the routing of aircraft in compliance with maintenance planning requirements while keeping the flight schedule intact and running on time.Assist Sector Supervisors with decisions on cancellation, special stops, etc. with regard for safety, regulatory compliance and economic considerations.Responsible for selection, performance evaluations and timely corrective action following company policy.Build and maintain a collaborative and engaged work group by providing positive, encouraging and informative input / feedback. Manage the dispatchers within the OCC to ensure coordination actions with crew scheduling, maintenance planning and maintenance control are. Assist and direct dispatchers with decisions pertaining to cancellations, consolidations, special stops, ferry flight and extra sections with high regard for safety, regulatory compliance and economic consideration. Enter and maintain company NOTAMS. Build dispatch records.Maintain and update routes in the Sabre system in coordination with Manager, Dispatch. Manage irregular flight operations with OCC Duty Manager. Provide operational control on a daily basis; maintain knowledge on all FAA regulations pertaining to the Flight Operations Department and proficiency pertaining to job requirements.Prepares and presents initial, recurrent, differences and re-qualification dispatch ground training.Assists in the planning, coordination and scheduling of classroom training.Develops courseware, outlines/training modules/lesson plans, and associated graphics and training aids.Ensure each dispatcher&#8217;s Training and Proficiency Record is electronically maintained to ensure continued qualification. &nbsp;Maintains classrooms and other training facilities in a clean, neat condition.Maintains dispatch currency for all operations conducted by Endeavor Air.Maintains ATS/ATGI qualifications and conducts competency checks for dispatchers as required.Maintains a personal appearance, conduct and demeanor consistent with the professional, customer-oriented manner expected of flight crewmember.Computer work, in a typical office environment, subject to critical deadlines. Other duties as assigned.<br />JOB QUALIFICATIONS<br />Bachelor&#8217;s degree or a combination of education and related experience2 years of experience in aircraft dispatching in a FAR part 121 operation2 years of classroom teaching and lesson plan development experience1 year of experience providing work direction in a leadership role, including motivating and mentoring employees2 years of supervision experience preferredKnowledge of Part 121 FARs and airline operationsFAA Dispatch license (requires a minimum age of 23)Reliable and self-motivated Excellent analytical, interpretive and organizational skillsAbility to multi task efficiently and effectively to meet deadlinesInterpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and able to work with all levels of an organizationPC proficient in Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Captivate Ability to work additional hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededPosition occasionally involves repetitive motion such as data entry or typing.Long periods of sitting and longer than normal hours and potential stress during irregular operations.
