After almost 10 years in Alaska and almost 3 at my present shop I am comming back to the lower 48. Just wanted something different and it was a big picture decision so I figured I would give North Dakota a try. Applied for the job went down to check things out and liked what I saw and got the job. Very interesting outfit with some cool toys. Living in Alaska was a bucket list item and the outfit I am with right now is a good place and would recommend the place to anyone.

Where in ND? I'm in BIS. And....be ready for cold winters ;) A lot of people don't realize many places in ND are colder than AK :D

Yeah, winters are brutal. In my previous career I trained in some drivers that had coworkers that came from the ice roads. They left ND and went back to the ice roads, said ND was way worse. I wish I were joking, but I'm not.

What kind of job will you be doing, if you don't mind my asking?
