Wow, that's scary! Those Marines actually had to use their underwater egress training. I went through it years ago when I was in the Corps. The training was a little scary as I remember being strapped in, blindfolded in a helo body over a pool. The helo dropped, hit the water and rolled 180 upside down. We had to unbuckle and feel our way out with the blindfold still on. I can't imagine having to do it in a real life crash.

BTW the CH-53E Super Stallion is one hell of a bird to ride on. I liked them much better than the CH-46's that seemed to fall out of the sky on a regular basis.
