Uh oh. Looks like this could get really ugly. 220% tax? Yikes!
Boeing demanding fair trade. LOL.
Oh gad, now we're going to war with Canada too.
Laughable, although I feel more confident about a Neo order now. I can't imagine this is going to hold up.
What's in this for Boeing? Other than likely never securing a Delta order again.
Oh I got an earful from wife when she found out. She did a lot of number crunching for the feasibility study.
Boeing is the worst company for US pilots and airlines. They complain about bombardier subsidies but look the other way when slinging wide bodies to the ME3.
Oh, their planes suck too. Who puts a giant yoke in a plane anymore? Go away, Boeing.
If I'm reading this correctly, this will apply to Delta's purchase of CS100 aircraft. The tariff will be assessed at around 220%.
Boeing was the one pushing for this. My guess is that Delta never purchases another Boeing aircraft again.

13 billion in state and local subsidies. Billion. But we can't have a competitor sell some cheap C series
Canada should put a giant tariff of any US made vehicle that was bailed out.
Canada was supposed to sign with Boeing for over $5 billion worth of F-18s.. that got put on hold.
It's got a trim wheel on a fly by wire airplane!
I was gonna say, Lockheed Martin will be laughing the whole way to the bank when Canada re-signs onto thr F-35 now.
and i'd expect southernjets to be placing a rather large NEO order instead of the MAX now.
there definitely isnt another thread on this already.......and we can only hope.
BlueJuice factory is in on this too(in a way):
A lot of good points so far. Seems like Boeing is cutting off its nose to spite it's face.
Maybe if they had innovated and designed a new airframe rather than just dicking around with another crappy ass variant of the 73, people would be buying Boeing.
Was Delta likely going to buy more 737s?
Guess that the 737MAX will never see the widget on the tail. Bring on the A321's!
