Just passed 500mi in N+RC.
Ran CIM on Sunday. Beat my goal of 3:30 and negative split, so I'll be getting some free New Balance sneakers. Super happy with the race. Hope to BQ (<3:15) next marathon in 6 months or so.
Wow, you are speedy! Bonus getting new shoes. Hope you get a BQ! The only way I will qualify for Boston is either raise a ton of money for charity, or get a lot older so the times get a lot slower.
Many moons ago I finished a 12 mile trail run in 1:12.02 which is basically the same pace. I probably could've made it another 3 miles+\- but not the full 26.2. I tip my hat...
I'm a 7 minute miler these days. A broken back and knee injury from a skiing accident make things a little tougher these days. Those injuries really make you emphasize core work. It's amazing how much more efficient you can run with a strong core.
I about died today.
Congrats...it's not how far or how fast...it's how frequent. I've been on all ends of the spectrum.
