Just wow! What incredible skill and nerves this pilot has. Landing at Toncontin International Airport in Honduras.

Yeah it is a cool video.

I wonder if they pulled his ticket for landing before the threshold.

That's normal for "The Goose".

The touchdown zone markers are about 650' from the start of the pavement (including the displaced threshold) and the GPWS is protesting the whole time.

Daylight, VMC, Captain only.

It's ok though. About the last 10 things I have posted on this site have been re-posts from a few days earlier.

This approach makes SXM look like JFK's Canarsie Approach haha

I don't mean to be a pessimist, but there are a lot more difficult approaches out there.

Hmm, I presume that those were full power takeoffs?

Dunno...but there is that mountain at the end of the runway...

But, then the 757 is waaaaaay overpowered anyways. So, Id' figure it would depend on alot of varying factors.

But, again, what do I know?

Yes, I hear that at light loads, the 75' can climb like a bat outta hell!

True. But not only does is the 75 like crazy overpowered. It also has a pretty straight wing for a commercial airplane.

It's wing sweep is only 25 degrees, compared to the *maybe* more normal 31 degrees.

That straighter wing in addition to other wing design factors is going to help the plane climb better in hot and heavy situations.

But more especially in slower conditions, like oh, say maybe takeoff!

Tgrayson might know more.
