| Got to love OKC this time of year. Was there actually one that touched down? The only confirmation I got was radar indications from the news. I haven't seen anything that indicated a true tornado touching down. When are you leaving OKC?

| Junior Member | Hey RABIRZA69, Do you know Kate or Phil, they are doing class at the FAA for ATC right now. I'm actually in OKC for spring break from University of North Dakota, I live up in E-town. Boy I love Oklahoma, yesterday was tornados and today, SNOW! |

| RABIRZA69, When I was in Florida, about five years ago, I was in a similar situation as you were in. There was a tornado warning issued for our area (Orlando) and I ran outside of the hotel to look for a tornado. This was during a heavy downpour. Fortunately, there was no tornado. But, it sure did get my adrenaline going! |

| Junior Member | That is actually the 3rd time in 3 years that has happened. Last year we had tornadoes just west of FAA and the next day we got so much ice the schools closed for 5 days. I can honestly say I have had my fair share of tornadoes. I lived 3/4 of a mile away from the most powerful tornado recorded. Boy that was a good ole OK day, then all hell broke loose. |

| Junior Member | nothing actually touched down in the OKC area however there was a very low wall cloud with fairly intense rotation. Downtown OKC dodged a bullet that night. I live in Norman and was watching it all. |

| The weather here is crazy. This is my 6th Spring here and I LOVE IT!!! The weather makes my nipples hard.......and not because it's cold. I do miss the storms from back home in western Nebraska though. There is nothing like seeing a super cell 100 miles away and then 3-4hours later it hits ya. Makes it easier to plan your day when you can see them coming.

| Junior Member | They just issued this a couple of hours ago for Oklahoma City: ... Winter Storm Warning In Effect From 6 AM Thursday To 6 AM CST Friday... A Mixture Of Rain... Sleet... And Snow Will Begin To Develop Over The Warning Area Early Thursday Before Becoming Heavier And Changing Completely To Snow By Afternoon Or Evening. The Snow May Become Heavy At Times... With Total Snow Accumulations Ranging From As Little As 3 To 4 Inches... To As Much As 7 To 10 Inches Locally. These Amounts Of Snow Have The Ability To Make Travel Extremely Difficult Or Perhaps Impossible. Power Outages May Also Result Due To The Heavy Weight Of The Snow. |
