Great video, has anybody here been to the Air Force museum in Dayton, OH? If not I recommend it. I was there a few times when my brother was stationed at Wright Patterson AFB. I don't remember seeing this plane, but there is so many aircraft there it is hard to remember everything.

My uncle put 27 years in as a loadmaster on 141's. I remember going to a party at Norton AFB before it closed and just before my uncle was relocated to McChord in Washington. They had two 141's on the ramp there and us kids had the run of them for the day... how cool is that to an airplane obsessed 12 year old? After the party on base was over the celebration continued at someone's house, whom I can't remember after so long. All of a sudden there was a huge racket and a C-141 roared over the house... it couldn't have been any higher than 500 feet AGL. I will never forget that as long as I live. I've always been close with my uncle, and I've always had a soft spot for the 141. It's sad to see it go, and I doubt there will ever be another like it. |
