Default Shuttle Landing - Pilots view

Not sure if it had been posted here before, but when I saw this the first time on NASA tv I thought it was one of the coolest things that I've seen.

...I wonder how many here think they could have hand flown it down like the pilot in this video......hmmmm....

*sigh* I cant get this thing to work, here's the link.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9elcSXVNlMw

I posted it for you, but it's no longer available.

You need to complete the first bracket []

It does look amazing doesn't it!? The best is when you hear the twin sonic booms during their descent into FL. It's amazing. If you are a space geek like I am might I suggest the book SkyWalking by astronaut Tom Jones. Really a great read, and he has some amazing accounts of launch and re-entry in the shuttle :-)

O yeah the sonic booms will wake you up. I'm from Orlando and went to college in the space coast area, so when the shuttle returned everyone knew about it.....

That looked pretty awesome. No wonder they seemed so calm, they had many years of training.
