 |  Shuttle Landing - Pilots view
Not sure if it had been posted here before, but when I saw this the first time on NASA tv I thought it was one of the coolest things that I've seen. ...I wonder how many here think they could have hand flown it down like the pilot in this video......hmmmm....  *sigh* I cant get this thing to work, here's the link.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9elcSXVNlMw

It does look amazing doesn't it!? The best is when you hear the twin sonic booms during their descent into FL. It's amazing. If you are a space geek like I am might I suggest the book SkyWalking by astronaut Tom Jones. Really a great read, and he has some amazing accounts of launch and re-entry in the shuttle :-)

O yeah the sonic booms will wake you up. I'm from Orlando and went to college in the space coast area, so when the shuttle returned everyone knew about it.....
