His problem is his G-strain sucks! (of course the gum doesn't help, but maybe he's chewing it because he's trying to prevent an ear block?) Anyways, here's the procedure folks for when you get your F-18, F-15, T-38, or whatever, ride: Before the g's, take a big breath of air in to fill your lungs, and tense your legs, butt, and gut (leaving your upper body relaxed). Then breathe against a closed glottis (basically force the air up with your lungs, but stop it at your throat). Then to keep it up, you're going to need to breathe. But when you breathe, only let out a small portion of the air (15-20%) in a short quick breath, and take it back in again.
