LOL! They do things a little different across the pond. I always get a kick out of the smoking stations around FRA! A friend's father used to work for Air France, and apparently it was common for the pilots to do a champagne toast before the start of each trip in the old days. Not sure if it still in practice, but I have no problem with it. Different culture, different tolerances. |

I heard Alitalia and Italian getting thrown around those transmissions.......I know in Greece when I have jumpseated on OA a few times, 2 of the pilots I flew with smoked....apparently if you hold the cigarette near the window (if it has a bad seal) it will suck the smoke out lol

That chick was smokin', and I'm not talking about the cigarette!!! According to my brother, if you close the outflow valve on an MD-80/DC-9 manually, and open the window in the cockpit, all the smoke goes right out.....of course this only works on the ground! |
