Both passengers suddenly had "Final Destination" moments!

happened all the time at my former regional. as a matter of fact, when a similar situation on an international flight(granted, it wasn't over the pond but international nontheless) needed to return to the gate, everything and everyone got off the aircraft. gate agents printed up their little "pax on" sheet, bags were pulled all over the ramp. some pax left their laptops, books, purses(believe it or not) etc and gate agents escorted them to the aircraft to claim all their bags. passengers that didn't travel spoke with tsa/local authorities(they were really wasted and acting the fool) and everyone else went. tsa said their bags didn't need to get search again but the aircraft did. doug your situation would probably warrant a pull everything out and search the aircraft again, possibly with the assistance of our 4 legged friends. maybe a subtle q&a with the pax as to why they didn't want to go(alot of times when it is innocent you would know anyway) load the remainder bags(including the cattle....umm passengers) and be on your way. oh and if you happen to meet up with the crew at the destination that would be a good drinking story. |
