Default Touching the plane

This happened to me when I was a FA...

Right before I was gonna close the door a pax hit the call button. I walk over, and ask," what can I help you with?" The pax tells me that he forgot to touch the outside of the plane, and he always touches the outside of the plane. I tell him to wait a moment, as the crew up front was waving the paperwork out the flight deck. I walk up and tell the CA..."Hey, there is this guy who says he forgot to touch the outside of the plane, and he always touches the outside of the plane, and he would like to do so now before we leave."

They both look at each other, and the CA looks back at me and says. "By all means, if this guy needs to touch the outside of the plane then let him get up, and touch it...but to make it fast."

Would you as a CA or FO let him get up and touch the outside of the plane ?

When I was a FA I would see people tap, knock, rub, and even cross them selfs before stepping onto the plane. But that was the first time someone told me they forgot to touch the plane...

People are wierd. I've got some OCD rituals too - so who am I to quibble with someone else's if it will save them from freaking out later. (and there won't be a delay)

I wouldn't mind. Everyone has quirks, and if it makes the flight that much smoother for them, as long as it doesn't interfere with anything, by all means.

Tell him no and tell him if the plane crashes or we run out of pretzels it's his fault.

That's kind of bizarre and I'd be surprised if the lead flight attendant would even bug us with passenger service issues like that when the final paperwork arrives! I can't see us delaying 200-plus passengers so we can disarm, open the door and allow passenger to fellate the aircraft.

Can't delay the flight because of superstition.

Besides, what happens if a passenger said, "I forgot to sacrifice a chicken before I got on the aircraft..."?

True but you would waste a lot of time diverting back because the passenger is having a panic attack.

That is one of my OCD rituals too. Every singe time I fly commercially, I have to touch the skin. I also HAVE to count the steps every time I climb/descend even 2 steps. Didn't know others did it too.

I would say, if the door was still open, by all means, let the guy. If it were closed, politely apologize.

Actually, probably not. Seriously. If someone dies mid-Atlantic, you're continuing on.

Seriously. Say someone conks out over 25 west. You can land in LPLA or EGPK and offload a casualty, or motor on to LEMD!

Do you have body bag(s) on board? Would love to read the protocol for it.

According to the ICAO, the commander is supposed to log all deaths and births enroute in the aircraft's log. That's all I know haha.

NOBODY ever dies on a plane, (at least not at some carriers.) They are "just resting comfortably," until the proper authorities can take over.

Oh yeah. The one I saw wasn't dead, just "pining for the fjords".

They nail them to the seats so they won't muscle up to the cockpit and "voom", eh?

I always have to touch the plane before I step in. I never though to fellate it. Though that puts a quasi impure thought in my head. mmmmm!! I wonder.
Now here is a question. Would it be considered illegal if someone attempted to fellate said air craft?

Oh also how does one go about doing that?

Yeah there is a LOT of paperwork, and depending on the country the plane might be quarantined and sprayed with who knows what.
