| Ok I was on one of my many USAir flights to Europe, London again. And I had a first class seat (that was one expensive <edited> seat, note to self try envoy, envoy) I had a window which I always try to get. So I walk kinda late (bathroom run) boarding and this guy is sitting in my EXPENSIVE ASS first class window seat. And this is how it went. Me: "Excuse me sir I think you are in my seat" looking at my boarding pass stub to make sure I am correct. Asshol4: "I highly doubt it, your type can't afford a first class seat on this flight" Yes ladies and gentlemen he told me that, with his head held high and all proud of himself. My first reaction was absolute anger. I wanted to take my laptop out of my bag and bash him over the head until TSA came to cart me away. But I made a remark (which I will not repeat here) and almost died laughing because of the look on his face from what I had said. I mean I was almost on the floor. The F/A came over. When I told here what was going on she then turns and start apologizing. Now I am looking at her like what for. Why do you feel the need to apologize for this holessa? | All I will say is that it had something to do with a black man (me) and his mother. I will say not more I don't want to have any more of my posts edited for inappropriate language. |

Unbelievable Neen!! That's when you wish a passenger like that is sitting underneath the overhead bin where your fully loaded 22-inch Travel Pro is stored.... while you're pulling it out, you get a little pain in your elbow and then....oops, right on top of the hate-filled head it falls. | |

| Old Skool | This happened to me on a lufthansa flight. The greek got drunk and started just yelling at the FAs. the captain came and I told him I can help if anythign is needed. one of the FAs came later and I wetn upstairs by the captain. he gave me a set of cuffs and told me that he will go back down and talk to him. He said if anything happened he told me to try to take him down and we would put him in the room in the back. we went back downstairs and he started pushing the captain and stuff. the captain told me to 'go' and I took him down, cuffed him and we put him in the back of the plane. apparently they have beds there... we went into germany with him in the back and when we landed we took him out last. whats funny is nobody helped while I was strugglign with the guy to take him down. we actually tied his legs with a tiestrap and I also had a gay male FA help me during the process LOLz. he said as a pilot, he cannot interfere with the passengers. that was a cool day. When I landed My parents wouldn't blieve me, so I brought the little insturction booklet on how to use the cuff as proof. LOL that was actually an interesting flight. I was watching a movie when it happened and I actually heard a scream or yelling or something, I thought we were being hijacked, and my 1st response was to get up and analyze the situation. I got a crap load of stuff. later on during the fligth some FA came over and told me not to forget my duty free bag. I was like huh? I don't have a duty free bag, she goes of course you do. and gave me a bag of stuff. and when I left the plane, they gave me ANOTHER BAG . They actually took my address down and told me i'd be getting a thank you letter from them along with a gift. I never got that though That would have been an awesome item to have in my interview resume lol.The bag consisted of choclate and some sparkling wine. however I wasn't into planes back then and never had the thought of saying 'hey since I did all this, could you let me sit in the jumpeaster for the remainder of the flight?' that would have been awesome, maybe even get some time on the type LOL |

| man I hate this kind of BS, I was commin' back from long beech into Anchorage, and I sat in coach sandwiched between the two most racist people I've ever listened too. I'd ask them to stop, tell them to stop, but they just kept making comments (true story) about the lady in the row up from us (she was wearing a head scarf). They said things like "rag heads don't belong in airplanes, etc." quite loudly. I was soo pissed off I got up and left after I told them what I thought of them, and sat in the back with the FAs till we had to land. I'm not black, not really anything actually, don't know what my ancestry is, however, having lived in places where there was a lot of racial brutality, and unacceptably high levels of ignorance, I get damn angry when see such a bizarre belief in inequality. I vote for throw him out! -pat |

| Senior Member | I went to Buffalo, NY and I heard people calling others "colored" (amongst other derogatory racial names). Trips me out to think people actually still use that word in this day and age. I thought "colored" was dead and buried decades ago. ![]() |

| Old Skool | Here's my F/A brief: "No drunks, no excess bags, no one give F/As any ####." I've seen the reverse of this problem. Had a white male F/A who was confronted by an abusive black man. The guy would not comply with anything the F/A told him to do. He had been drinking. We sent for the LEOs and in the mean time the C F/A (black female) came up and tried to intervene on behalf of the passenger, calling the white male F/A a racist. Anyway it turned out the black male passenger had an outstanding murder warrent against him in DTW, so they kept him in the pokey and extradited him to DTW. Needless to say, our ABF (Angry Black Female) F/A ended up with a LOT of egg on her face.

| I wonder if a special ejection seat could be installed for the morons in question. Maybe a special "flush" button activates it when they go into the bathroom. Also, a reverse flush might be more fun. Watch them walk out of the Lav covered in blue poo water.

| Don't you believe it. I'm 45 yrs old and have been in contact with whites since my second grade teacher...even though at the time the entire student body was all black. That was back in 1966-1967. To prove my point I am certain that none of the following information appears in any of the "mainstream American History books" of our classrooms in this country. African-Americans are usually introduced to American History starting from slavery when we had civilizations that thrived thousands of years prior to slavery here in America. It has been my experience that some whites have a distorted view and opinion of African-Americans. Racism exists at all levels in our society. It is institutional. Sometimes it is overt and at times it is covert. Racism is clothed within the conference rooms of America and at the water cooler. America can be characterized as "a democracy conceived in hypocrisy." If you think I'm bull######ing you, go to the Liberty Bell and read what is inscribed on the bell in terms of Scripture. Then, go to your Bible and then read the entire Scripture. Read Leviticus 25:10. They tried to ring the bell 3 times to proclaim liberty...however each time it failed to ring because of the duplicitness on the part of our Northern European brothers. Once a people's history is destroyed, then they tend to believe what the majority says about them. As far as those person of African descent...our history dates back to 5000 BC and further. The people who built the Sphinx, the Pyramids and the other Eygptian monuments were Black people. Notice on the statues of the Pharoah's and the Sphinx that the nose and lips are missing.....two prominent features on the faces of Black people. Mark Anthony did everything he could to wipe out the resemblance. Oh, and btw, Cleopatra looked nothing like she is portrayed in Hollywood. She looked NOTHING like Liz Taylor. Did you know that in 1875, the Supreme Court said that Black people could eat, sleep and buy a home wherever they wanted to. Then the Supreme Court of 1883 came back and said that that was unconstitutional. Now, if this racial issue had been solved back then, can you imagine where this country would be in terms of intellectual capital. Sustainable economic growth is contingent upon an educated, healthy, and well nourished labor force. Killbilly as well, posted a profound statement about racism earlier; especially in reference to the "upper class" whites where racism is usually economically, financially & politically based. Check it out for yourselves. atp
