| Old Skool | I am back handling internet related items for White Air once again. This is a part time gig for me as I also work for Colgan Air. First of all, White Air was aware of the struggles with communication over the past couple months and I had a meeting with them today. They decided to bring me back on part time to handle information requests and their internet presence. When I left back in May to work at the Grand Canyon, my duties were thrust upon someone that already had quite a workload to handle. They thought this situation would work out fine, but it got to be a struggle as the traffic and business increased. I hope the fact that they are addressing this issue reflects their commitment to customer service. I am the first graduate of their Career Program and it has worked well for me. February 21st last year I took my intro flight with White Air. Today I work as First Officer for Colgan Air. Other graduates have also been hired into flight schools as CFI's along with Scenic Airlines and Piedmont. The instruction is excellent, and the environment is down home and laid back. I really loved the personal attention I received while training there. Given the fact that hindsight is 20/20, I would not have changed a thing. I am where I am now, in great part, due to the efforts of people like Alan White and Rob Jordan. The lead instructor here is recognized by NAFI as a Master CFI. Out of the nearly 90,000 CFI's in the country less than 500 have achieved this status. The programs are all inclusive. You do not get surprised by added fees and hidden costs. The prices are on the website and you pay exactly what it says. In return you get exactly what is advertised. No sharing time in the twin, no fuel surcharges, no overpriced housing. Its all included. When you figure the ACTUAL cost of our program against the ACTUAL cost of other programs you will see that you cannot beat our prices. You will also be hard pressed to find finer people. To address some other issues. Yes the prices have increased. Next time you buy gas you will quickly understand why. White Air has the right to turn a profit as any business should. The cost of fuel has increased and unfortunately that cost gets passed on to the customer. That is just reality. The original prices were based on fuel costs over a dollar a gallon less than current prices. We all wish that fuel prices would come down, and I assure you that if they do the prices will come back down for training here at White Air. Next thing, NO Kansas is not the Garden spot of the country, we have wind, weather, tornadoes, cows, corn and not much more. That being said my experience has shown that the elements I found to be NORMAL here, were a handful for others that trained in more favorable climates. They do no hesitate to take advantage and get the students into actual IMC either. Pretty much anybody knows that under the hood and actual are two completely different things. That kind of experience is very valuable. With all that being said, I welcome your questions, comments and concerns. You may contact me at van@flywhiteair.com or by filling out the contact form at www.flywhiteair.com Please allow me a couple days to respond, I will be out of town 3-4 days a week, but I assure you that your emails will be answered promptly. Thank You
