Default Aerospace e-mail

Hey, do you guys know if it's possible to get a "aero.und.edu" e-mail address beforehand?

I'm trying to get cheaper fares to GFK, but they require me to be enrolled in a university/college, and the way they prove so, is by you having a ".edu" address.

I'm sure some of you've heard of this already.

Any ideas as to where I can get mine?

Didn't know you can get cheaper fares into GFK. Do you have to be a UND student or any college student? I'm thinking about transferring to UND.

Any college student qualifies.

What school are you currently in, BTW?

Oh yeah, website's www.studentuniverse.com

It's not too much of a difference. But in my case, that I'm planning a round-trip, leaving June and coming back August, the difference is tremendous. Fares are around $600 through the bigger websites. Searching in studentuniverse yields fares for around $320.

Remember, I'm going from NY, so prices may be different.

i used studentuniverse quite a few times. i've gotten out of GFK for as little as $229 on two occasions. i'm not sure how you'd get away with flying up here before you have an ID. i've never had a problem with su.com by giving them a schedule of classes and a copy of my ID card. they don't seem to care about my email address. if they accept that as a form of proof of enrollment, use the email address (ask foxcow) and the printout of your schedule from ALFI or get the registrar to fax you a copy.

I'll be a junior next year.

Nothing at all against UND, no complaints about my education, Grand Forks just sucks in the summer. This place is dead. Would rather be home working and with all the people that I never get to see anymore.

Yea I had my fair share of fun in Cville. Herbstreit is a good guy, his sister is our next door neighbor so whenever he's in town we see a lot of him.

Wherd you go to HS at?

Thanks Grant.

Do you know what's this "activation thing" for UND's U-mail? I believe I can use my NAID, now that I know it, but I'm not exactly sure whether it'd provide me with an address.

Oh and studentuniverse requires a copy of your ID and schedule only if you haven't a .edu address, but being that I don't have an actual ID from the school yet, the problem's a bit crappier than just having an e-mail address at UND.

Oh, and what was it that you told me to ask Foxcow about?
.
.
Anyone else know how I can get an e-mail address at UND?

Thanks Luke. I had seen that already. It's just I was wondering if, in order to activate an account, one must already have the e-mail address assigned by someone else.

I just created my e-mail address. It so happens it's only firstname.lastname@und.nodak.edu

Thanks!

I work at the helpdesk. I might be able to hook you up with an aero address. PM me if you would like. If I was to get you one, it would just be less work for them when they set you up.
