Default ATC Fallback?

Hi,
I'm considering attending UND sometime soon and was just wondering about a fall back career.

Would it make sense (or can I) major/minor in ATC and still get all the certifications of the Commercial Pilot Program, but have a degree in ATC?

Lots of students here are double majoring in ATC and commercial aviation. I think that the ATC medical requirements might be more strict than those in the pilot medicals. ATC isn't probably a very good "fall back" degree if that's what you are looking for. But yes, doing both ATC and Commercial Aviation are very real possibilities.

I believe the medical requirements for ATC are equivalent to a Class II aviation medical.
