Default I Have Returned

I just couldn't resist the entertainment and attractions that Grand Forks has to offer. I jumpseated from Laguardia and came in late last night. You should have seen the look on Angel's face when I knocked on his door haha. What a surprise. Anyone else here up to hanging out? I'm with Mr. Leisure getting ready to explore the wonderful Grand Cities, then tonight we're all going to the Feast of Nations.

PS, I think I might consider moving back..................

I was gonna go but I'm exhausted... I'm going to return to Grand Forks in about 3 weeks when I have a few days off. I will need to restock Angel's wine cellar. haha ...Hey when I come back lets plan for a big BBQ.

Edit: Oh wait! It's too cold for a BBQ (sorry, I'm just used to San Diego weather).

Lucky. I was looking on weather.com today and typed in the wrong zip code where the temp was going to be 54 degrees. I was so excited! A moment of hope. Then it was gone when my friend pointed out that it wasn't Grand forks. Sad day...

You have to be cool like everyone else as well and wear your airline pilot uniform and hang around the lobby of the airport too!

Trust me, airline pilots want to wear our uniform as little as possible when it's not required. You'll understand why when you have to wear it all the time and endure all the stupid questions/comments. But these 200 hour wonders on the other hand...that's usually who you see at dispatch pimpin their 3 stripes.

As soon as I get onto the airplane when jumpseating to work (if they give me a seat in the back) I rip off the epelettes, tie, and badge. After having one guy tap me on the shoulder several times throughout the flight when trying to sleep with headphones on, I will never "endure such stupid questions/comments" that he asked again.

Oh I know, I've been on here enough to take what Doug has said about being in uniform as a good warning.

Even as a freight dawg ( who is required to wear a monkey suit) we rip off the tie and shirt as soon as the door closes.... unless it is a very short flight. I could see wearing the uniform to dispatch/UND's area if you plan on JSing on the next flight out.... but still PAAALEEEEAAAASSSSEEE!
