Yes, he was being sarcastic.

On a side note, I've heard of someone who painted their square headlights (the kind that go on the 1st-generation Jeep Wranglers) with transparent blue paint to give their lights the "HID look" LOL

Yeah, I hear you, I hate those people. So many of them in Grand Forks. The right lane is the passing lane in GFK with so many idiot drivers.

Yeah, I hear ya. I have them aimed pretty far down so they aren't any brighter than a good set of halogens to look at. Probably easier to look at since they are bluish.

Yeah, I didn't think they were too strong. They're strong enough to let me know it's your car though.

Yes, ballast, real HID bulbs, etc, the whole 9 yards. Not 99.99999994548934857% of all rice rockets with the $5 fake eBay "HIDs" from China that are really just halogens with blue/purble transparent paint LOL.

They are the whole system with out projector lens. I've read enough into it enough to know that if you have a small halogen housing(which mine does) and adjustable bulb mounting brackets(which I have), the glare is similar to a halogen bulb.

It's not perfect and god knows I was kinda being a jerk while I got the mounting and aiming figured out. The glare was never any worse than someone driving a truck at you from the other way, or up behind you. At a lot less than some of these new chevy trucks with the bumper fog lights aimed in god knows what direction.

Yeah, funny thing about those is is that they have to up the wattage to make the light brighter to shine through that filter. We all know about higher wattage bulbs. They don't last as long. So these guys are paying more for bulbs that don't last as long or have near the light output.

One Thing I wish my kit had was the igniter. My lights take FOREVER to light up sometimes. Alright, it's only like 10 seconds, but still.

Oh yeah. I think halogens are around 900 lumens if I remember right. My bulbs are 2100 lumens. They're aimed really low though. The part of the lens that normally illuminates overhead signs is what is now pointing down the road.
