Soccer kicks ass. Each sport has it's own hardships - except for baseball (sissies) - I would like to see some big NFL dude try to run for 90 minutes

They could do it if you stopped the game every 15 seconds and gave them some timeouts!

HUH?????? One of the only reasons why I don't watch American Football is because they stop every 10 seconds. It's probably the most boring sport in existance. You guys might claim that soccer is the boring one because scoring a goal is hard and takes long, but THAT right there is what's the best part of the game: the suspense before the game-defining goal. If you guys have never been to a soccer game in your life, you don't know what you're missing. The atmosphere in the crowd is amazing.

American Football would be interesting if they didn't wear all those pads. I'm really a fan of physical, no pad sports. Rugby, "Soccer" could be considered at times.

I guess that's the English in me though...

Yeah, go to a soccer game in Central America and see if a soccer-basher can survive 5 minutes in the crowd.

A soccer match is definitely more interesting than an American football match! I mean I have tried watching some NFL games, especially the Super Bowl but I just find myself only switching it on for the commercials. It is simply too boring, baseball though is great because anything can happen in 9 innings. I mean people rag on baseball as not being that tough, but hey they play almost everyday of the season. Chances of things going wrong increases, thats why you are always guaranteed to have someone on the DL.

That's my only beef with soccer, but you get a little of that in every sport. Maybe just not as bad.

same here, that's my only beef too. Other than that its ok to watch in moderation. Its just a complete buzkill when guy has a scoring chance, but as soon as he gets inside the box he takes a dive in the hopes of getting a penalty shot. Kills all the momentum...and makes you look like a pansy.

Even worse playing against actors. I remember in indoor when I was 3 feet from a guy, he tripped over the ball, then he blamed it on me to get a man advantage. The ref didn't bite though.

That's the upside of hockey, somebody does that, you can kick his ass later so he thinks twice about it next time ;-)
