That river is nasty. I prefer the ocean creatures.

Not could of should of. If your unfortunate enough to catch a dog fish they are typically not supposed to be thrown back in. I Don't think Carp are either. Cut it up and use it for a prank.

What do you do with the carp? I couldn't imagine eating one. Fun to catch but thats about it.

Your not supposed to eat out of that river. I'm pissed off that it is associated with the state of Minnesota and its fishing. Reminds me of some skanky southern river with all those damn catfish

Yeah the Hmong in St. Paul just love that junk. They fish for them all the time illegally out there. No one care because they are a junk fish. They also drive out to Devils lake to catch all they can and sell them at a premium in the markets. I'm cool with cultural food but the line is drawn at a fish that eats $hi#

Oh crap, fresh catfish from the mississippi is the ish.

I remember reading something in the local paper once, someone drowned in the river at one of the lock and dams(roller dam encounters are never a good outcome ) and the diver that went in to find the guy said he was stepping on something that felt weird. When he bent down to look at what he was stepping on(about 2 inches away since the river is pretty dirty), he was face to face with a HUGE catfish! haha I forgot the size and weight, but the ones that hang out by the lock and dams on the mississippi are HUGE!

The Sturgeon in the St.Criox river in Stillwater, MN can get massive over 4ft. I have heard stories of divers who have came accross them thinking they were sunken Logs not a pretty picture. Not a pretty fish
