I'd check all your ground wires, the coil, and making sure the coil is wired correctly. That and maybe check to make sure the plugs wires are hooked up correctly. Once, my dumb ass decided to change the spark plug wires on my s-10 and instead of changing them one at a time, I took them all off at once. It wasn't 3 seconds after I did that when I said "Oh %$#$!"

Oh and by chance do you have a tach hooked up? If you wire that up wrong, you'll ground out your ignition and you won't get a spark.
Well, the plugs are new, and I've also replace the coil, rotor, distributor cap, and engine control box. I've checked the continuity on the ignition wires and they check out ok. I replace the solenoid switch, but I think the old one was good anyway, but either way it's got a new one now so that isn't it.

Basically the engine is turning and getting air and fuel (it's carbureted and I've got a manual choke, so I can adjust the amount of air and I've tried every setting). I can also see the fuel being squirted into the carburetor when someone steps on the gas. It has to be that the engine isn't getting "spark" but I can't figure out why. I'll have to try looking at the leads going to and from the tach. I'll give that a shot and see if it works.

Yeah, I learned the hard way not to throw away the directions to wiring up a tach. I think it took me almost an hour to wire the thing up right.

Mr. Leisure and I have been doing some major improvements to my car. We worked about on it for about 8hrs today...now i'm riding on some brand new chrome rims...not to mentioned we installed brand new custom exhaust. Now if i can get my A/C to work, i'm set.

Good lord! That is the slowest and sloppiest road conditions I've ever seen in rally.
