You're not putting in enough effort! (they arrange the bonus point system based on those who are not employed).

I was on template but have been trying to finish the 96 flight. It's been weathered 4 times.

Such is life during this time of the year in North Dakota. If it makes you feel any better, everyone else is losing flight time too!

Yup, weather has been sucking balls lately! I am staying in this beautiful place just for that this weekend. Too bad I can't fly on the "lords day."

Ouch. You're in 222 right? Those cross countries are bastards in the fall semester. Hopefully it will behave like spring here pretty soon for you to get that crap done.

right well thats the thing. i KNOW im not the only one.

and WHY would they penalize you by not allowing you to sign up for the next course if you are not on template? its not like that is some sort of motivator, its only a barrier.

...and if you don't get done, you get dropped from the next course anyway. So I dunno.

There have been 1 or 2 semesters of ground school that I've been in where the deadline was extended a week or two due to long stretches of bad weather. All is not necessarily lost, depending on how much bad weather we end up getting.

i know all is not lost and that yeah just like the other semesters i will probably still finish on time or within a day or two

my main beefs are

a) being held up from registering and getting my next semesters paperwork/finances/registration in line because of point template NONSENSE

b) not flying as frequently as would be beneficial to really reinforce learning.

Look at how often the foreign contract training students fly compared to us "normal" students. They aren't distracted by a full load of classes either.
