Default Army ROTC

I am high school senior and was just awarded one of the scholarships in the helicopter program at UND. I visited the campus last summer and did a little flying, but really don't know too much about it, particularly the helicopter and ROTC programs. I'm just curious to know what life is like for the cadets, their general schedule, etc. Hopefully, somebody on here is familiar with or currently enrolled in the program. I would appreciate any input.

Welcome aboard!

I don't know anything about UND, but I am both an Army helicopter pilot and an Army ROTC instructor. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Howdy! I don't think you're gunna find any UND rotor students on here (I could be wrong). I CAN tell you that we've got a nice looking fleet of helicopters, though! Looks like a lot of fun to me. PM me and I can give you a couple phone numbers that might be able to offer more information.

I have had a few rides in the ROTC helicopter fleet. It a good program and when you graduate from UND ROTC program you go to I believe Ft. Rucker for the last part of Army flight training. The program is very structured but rewarding. I know its not much but not to many rotor-heads post on here. PM if you want some numbers to the program or even.

P.S. you will still get your private pilot's license in a airplane before you start helicopter training.
