Default The Evolution of ND

Rest easy, folks. Cohabitation is no longer to be a criminal offense in ND!

I wonder if it is still illegal to drive a red car within the city limits of Mankato???

I think it is still legal to shoot an Indian Chief in ND, if you are in a covered wagon....

People here are very old-fashioned. If I had it their way I'd be married to Hilga Lufstad with 5 kids while working at Simplot as a Senior Potato Sorter. Having purchased an $8,000 trailer in Columbia Estates trailer park along with a $48,000 2007 Ford F-250 and $22,000 Pontiac Grand Am (financed through Rydell at 19.9% of course!)...oh... you can't forget the two snowmobiles.

She, your wife, would be working at Pamida during the week for 4 days a week but on friday she would bake "hotdish" for the weekly competition at the local highschool.

Like all the 90's Luminas??? I couldn't possibly see any old granny driver wanting to hear such an obnoxious exhaust.

It is pretty sick. My freshman year, I worked at Hugo's in the deli on 32nd Ave. There were 3 old ladies and me. They only talked about their grandkids and what they had for dinner the night before (hotdish). It was probably the 3rd or 4th circle of hell for me. Not only did I have to cut the meats and cheeses for the house moms, but I had to dish up the nasty ass hotdish for anyone foolish or brave enough to buy it. However, I did develop a pretty good lunch lady sling when serving that crap.

Canned tuna, kraft macaroni and cheese, [insert random canned soup here], tator tots, peas, and ground beef, all thrown in together to make a casserole for your lovely Lutheran church potlock gathering at the Lundegard's house, I mean hoah-ss (as they pronounce the word house here).

Yes, it's as nasty as it sounds.

Yep, that's the sound I'm talking about. I have no clue what the heck causes that noise. There's no resonators or special mufflers, it's just that bad of an engine I think. lol

That's why old ladies buy my car and other cars with the 3300 or 3800. (for the engine not the car) car= haha

I always thought it was some weird pressure phase sync issue within the exhaust that was done by accident but the GM engineers thought "wow, a pseudo sports car sound!" when in reality it sounded like complete crap. haha

Nothing like the sound of a cold Pontiac in the morning whose owner didn't give it anytime to warm up. It always cracked me up when walking to my car in the Fritz parking lot. My old roommated, Fat Chad, thought it sounded great.

Now that I think about it, it's probably the same thing that makes those "get 'r' done" trucks make that crackling noise when they gun it. Exhaust manifold+narrow exhaust for the engine+different length dual exhaust+lack of an X or H pipe=crap sound. It's not the engine, it's the exhaust that makes those trucks sould like crap.

I'm thinking the same thing is going on with the crap 3100 v-6 except since it's a v-6 it sounds different.

I knew a couple kids in highschool that purposefully disconnected one of their spark plugs wires to make the car sound like it had a cam.

I know exactly what sound you guys are talking about. That's funny. The 2.5L TBI 4cyl on my old buick century sounded like a tractor.

I bet some sociology major could write a paper on why a restaurant as bad as paradiso is so successful in this culture.
