Default PA28-161

Did you guys know that the green arc for fuel pressure in the Warrior is .5 to 8 PSI?

Oh yeah, the forward CG limit is 83.8in at 2020lbs under the Utility Category of the aircraft.

I thought it was really interesting to know this stuff!
Amazing! Rad.

Did you also know that the PA28-161 is equipped with a Cleveland 5.00 x 5 wheel on the nose gear and a Cleveland 6.00 x 6 wheel on the main gear. This stuff is so awesome, I am going to talk to my ground school instructor about all these cool facts tomorrow. I am so excited

If only I knew what the wing loading was off the top of my head, then I'd really impress you guys. I'll go with 17.6 lbs/sqft.

Did you know the third rivet on the left wing of the Piper Warriors build between March 23rd and May 7th, 2004 was accidentally made out of anodized aluminum with 8 threads instead of 9?

Also, did you know that the carpet in Piper Warriors built on the third Thursdays of every month had a special secret New Zealand wool blend? Nobody knows this, but ask it on 102 stage checks - kids will be so interested!

The only reason why I actually know that is because I just had a 325 block exam

Oh lord, god forbid I memorize that stuff. That's why there's a green arc.

They're called qualitative guages (from Doc Jensen's Human Factors lectures).

No difference between the desire to learn all the limits of a warrior as to learning all the limits of something more complex. But heck, keep up the "good" work maybe there will actually be a pilot shortage and QOL will improve.

more to flying an airplane than knowing the boxed items.

So I can't fly the airplane without knowing how many rivets are on each wing?

And what kind of New Zealand wool is in the carpet (ie, type of DNA strand and the lamb's genetic ancestry).

knowing the limits of an airplane have nothing to do with flying it, operating it efficiently and in a way that prolongs the life of it as best as possible does. If those rivets are critical to the wing structure, you bet your ass you better know how many are there. Just like static wicks, strut extension/compression etc.

Yeah, I think the plane might crash if I don't know how many rivets the wing has.

The airplane's computer will ask you trivial questions like that before lowering the landing gear or else the airplane will explode without answering correctly (inside joke people).

nope, most likely not. but ya'll know everything, I will see to it that your ATPs and type ratings for 3 aircraft of your choice are mailed to you. You can drop out of UND tomorrow, United has captain positions on 777 waiting for you all.

Hmmmm theres one for the NTSB reports .. "pilots failure of knowing how many rivets the wing had was the leading cause of the accident" but seriously there are a LOT of rivets on the wing .... hmmm i think i know what i am gonna do on my next preflight .... 1,2,3,45,60,...... ehhhh forget it ......

Remember before your next pre-flight, count the rivets. Thank you.
