Default Free multi-time!

Does anyone here know an MEI or is an MEI at UND who can take my 1:00pm T/Th/Sat 325 launch? I am waiting to hear back from UND as far as my instructor replacement situation, but there seems to be a slight scheduling problem with this new instructor. I haven't yet found out the details but I figured I'd ask around before I get a call back from Mr. Martin. (Playing phone tag)

My work and school schedule is full and packed so the T/Th/Sat at 1pm launch is the only time I can fly. Thanks in advance.

Where are you from? Maybe there's a flying club there with a Duchess or Apache or similar that you can rent.

Sent ya back a PM earlier today that I’m guessing you’ve gotten. My schedule is pretty flexible now. The two 325 students that I was covering have been reassigned and all I’m working with now are my two 325 students. If you have any time other than what you’ve said, I’m sure that I could help ya out (realizing that you’ve already noted that you could only fly TRS at 1:00PM)… even if it’s a Sunday I’m cool with that. It’s unfortunate that I have a 325 student with the same launch as you! Wish I could be of more help…

I know a few MEI’s here, and we’re all working with several 325 students (UND’s hurting pretty bad for MEI’s right now I’d say)

Meaning where did you come from before you came to UND...

Usually you can get twin time for reasonable price with a flying club. For example, at Plus One Flyers in San Diego there's a Beech Duchess for $169/wet. A couple of others for $174 and $179. Not too bad.

Say, just curious, did you do an Arrow checkout yesterday for someone? A student of mine had went to Flight Support prior to our sim lesson. Maybe that was your signature in his logbook then?!

Want a motivated 102 student to finish up? I am free every morning and Thursday afternoons. I would love to get as many launches as possible. I would have no problem flying any day of the week including weekend. I am going to go up for my stage 14 likely this weekend, and then I will be needing a new instructor.

Sounds good. My instructor was suppose to talk to someone at the airport about getting me a new instructor. He is taking a couple days to do it. I think I will just call the course manager, tell him the situation, and ask for a new instructor who fits my schedule. One thing I have noticed about UND, is that you can not rely on other people to get things done. Even if they told you they would. Odds are they will forgot/too lazy to follow through. You have to take matters into your own hands.

One thing that a chief flight instructor told me (at a school other than UND) is that “the only person that’ll look out for you in this business is you.” I think there is some truth in what he had said (I don’t believe it completely, because I believe that networking can get you to a lot of places). Sometimes, you just need to make sure that you’re getting what you’d like - like you said.
