Yes, was very nice for my FIRST UND flight this morning. And, got to "stay warm" by preflighting inside.

Nice weather for a stage check too, did 221 20 flight today, and it was perfect. Scott Harvey the stage check pilot was really laid back and an extreme opposite of one of the worst stage pilots I have had in 102. I can truly say, today was a good day. Past the flight and now I have a sim tonight at 9. Trying to get the 7 sims out of the way before Jan 23 for 222.

Harvey is by far one of the coolest instructors at UND ..... by far one that you want to have as an instructor !

Yeah, today was great for flying. Knocked out the third lesson for 112. Apparently the next one is my "first solo." Haha...Anyway, I'm making good progress and already ahead of the template by a couple lessons. I've heard enough on this board about people falling behind, so I've already started to fly and do the briefings as frequently as possible.

One of my best friends, man the things I could tell you about Mr. Harvey, for his own self dignity I'll refrain for now...

my power steering silently protests by slipping and failing randomly.

Oh it's getting evacuated in May - two less Californians will be in ND, which ND'ans might be thankful for LOL. They won't have to deal with people who actually use the horn to communicate messages relating their driving stupidity...and middle fingers for other appropriate situations.

I love when people try to chase you down after flipping the bird at them when they blatenly did something wrong. It's always some country redneck piece of trash in a ford f-250000036.

Haha, no kidding. Everytime someone does that turning left at the same time you're turning right crap they get an earfull of my rediculous horn.

Yes I know it's a law, but for practical purposes it sucks for the guy turning right. It's not safe either. If any car has any traction issues at all, there's gona be a pretty bad accident.

There's certain driving habits I hate about every place I've been. Grand Forks is the worst by far. Err, I think it might be a tie between Grand Forks and Minneapolis.

Try NYC. They're the most aggresive ####### drivers ever, but they sure god damn know what they're doing. I'm assuming LA is the same.

It's the same. People don't make it an effort to follow traffic rules and are aggressive, but are vigilant and aware of their surroundings. Pretty much any big city. Much safer situation IMO - I feel much more comfortable driving in an agressive but skilled driving environment than an "oh how are yah Mr. Lyngstad? *wave* urrrrrrrrrt *CRASH!!!!*" kind of driving with ZERO driving skill.

Like a said before, the Hutterite women with their little white bonnets in the Chevy Cavelier who decided that a right-turn-yield-on-red meant to STOP and wait until the light turned green, even though there weren't any cars coming! Even after 20 seconds of laying on the horn, they didn't know what to do.

Then again, it seems that every culture claims their driving habits to be superior than some other culture. Maybe North Dakotans think I drive like chit... but since they suck so much at driving anyway I doubt they'd have the ability to recognize any sort of bad driving habit.
