The elderly lady on her cellphone Ana is talking about decided to change lane in front of me going 15 mph without signalling on HW 2. Then when I was driving on University some idiot almost spun out of control on the ice patch near State St. opposite the new dorms.

I always give do a quick choki-dori to the bike lane and back into the normal car lane before the car tries to grab onto the pavement. (disclaimer: no traffic or pedestrians are around while doing this)

We all know Minneapolis isn't a real big city though right? I swear, the way people drive, it's the biggest small city in the world. Absolutly terrible! It definitly ties with Grand Forks.

Sqwirly e-brake tricks are done almost everyday on that one - of course there are no innocent little students around, that would be against SOPs.

I was about to say!

Yeah.....I get scared in that portion. One of these days, I'm gonna get hit by a ND driver slipping on that ice patch, or I'm gonna fall off my bike and unto the street and get run off by a NDan.

Well Angel, by riding the way you do through campus almost hitting innocent pedestrians walking to class is reckless beyond belief.....

Well I'd much rather drive in Minneapolis than Grand Forks.

Chicago's traffic problems are caused soley by the piss poor interstate and highway system. Most of which was added after the city expanded, so I guess I can't blame them. Most big cities are pretty much the same way. Minneapolis has an excellent highway and interstate system, but they lack the concept of merging so bad, traffic issues arise anyway. They are at least, like any big city, good at figuring out the flow and sticking to it. Typically you won't find some random knob going the speed limit when the flow is 10-15 over.

I prefer the "use the space off the right side of the road to make it to the exit 2 miles up" trick ...that allowed me to make it to work at least 2 minutes faster when I traveled along the 5 or 805 on the way to work. "Oh but the traffic in California!"....puuuuuuuhlease it took me 15-20 minutes to get to work everyday... takes that amount to get anywhere in San Diego, less if you remain in the city. Now LA is a different story..........your commute could be 2 minutes or 2 hours.

I'm not even sure what you mean by that. Are you talking about the emergency lane? I've been on campus for 6 hour straight, I'm kinda loopy right now. I'll probably understand later.

My drive between home and GF is WAY to long to deal with that crap.

No kidding. I did every trick possible to try to get one of them to get a clue. I was going about 80, so I just kept that pace right up on them.(Usually people will notice you coming and be kind enough to move out of your way) That didn't work. Doing the left turn signal thing following the guy in the left lane didn't work.(which almost always does and it's less offensive than flashing the brights) Then I flashed the brights. Nothing... The emergency lane was the last resort and I needed to get back up to 80 so bad, I had to do it. I get so tired driving 70, not to mention the added stress from getting annoyed by these two knobs was taking energy as well I'm sure.

Someone flipped me off and started driving between both lanes heading to fargo right before the break because he got pissed off at me for using my brights to get him out of the left lane. I cant believe most people actually drive 70-75 on a road that has a speed limit of 75.

Believe me, the brights flashing does not work in the midwest. It's a little more acceptable around Minneapolis and around in Iowa and Illinoise, but up here people get pretty upset by it. I prefer the turn signal trick.

If someone is hogging the left lane, just follow them with your left turn signal on. Move over to the left enough so it is flashing in their drivers side mirror. This works everywhere 19 out of 20 times I'd say and it's a lot less offensive than flashing your brights. I reserve that for the asshats.
