Default What's this program fee plan for Spring semester?

Quote:
There will be a Dean's forum on December 4th at 5:00 PM in Clifford
Hall, room 210. One of the topics will be a program fee to be
implemented in the Spring semester affecting any student enrolled in a
class offered through the Odegard school. This is a good opportunity to
come and discuss any other topics or concerns you might have.
Does anyone know what this is about? UND, yes, please rape me with more fees. I love fees.

Probably a "faculty member salary increase fund" to satisfy a contract that wasn't properly budgeted for, so they turn to the students for the monetary help.

Since I'm graduating in 2 weeks I think I'll be an ass, show up to the meeting and just keep yelling "more fees! More fees!" :-P

It wasn't a forum. It was more of an announcement. They've already decided on it. We will have $30 student fees per aviation course starting next semester. They will lower the hourly rate of sims and planes by $4.50.

I'm sure they'll find an excuse to raise the hourly rate by $10 so that they gain out of this.

At a rate of $30 per class, taking 25 classes in AtSc, ATC, and AVIT, the four year student will be paying $750 throughout the four years. If the hourly rental rates would stay the same, students would be saving out of this deal. Sounds too good to be true. I'm sure the hourly rates will soon increase.

It is really bad for students like me that are almost done with all the flight courses because we won't save anything from the rental rates.

YES! I love watching infomercials - they're so hilarious. I can just imagine all the people calling up to buy the products when they knock off "one easy payment".

That guy comes across as being very honest - which is really sad... because people believe him!
