Default New rednose Engine Covers

So finally they changed that crappy velcro design!

http://learn.aero.und.edu/pages.asp?PageID=91399

I wonder why they even started with velcro originally.

For the super UND aviation enthusiasts, make sure to memorize the numbers for each rubber ball! Very important information, you will be tested on your stagecheck and can miserably fail otherwise.

Those battery vents are screwed. I wonder how long it will be until somone bashes a windshield with those balls. I still don't think I like it. I don't know what it would take to certify, but I wish they'd make it like the arrow engine cover and instead of attaching the bungie cords to a wheel well(of which the warrior doesn't have obviously) add two tie down loops to the fuselage to attach to. Yeah yeah, that'd cost a butt load of money.

It says on the powerpoint that it is going to be easier to put on with gloves. I thought the velcrow was pretty easy with gloves.

As far as cracking the cowling/windshield...i think the rubber/plastic balls are pretty lightweight, and it would be pretty hard to do, even if it were high speed because of the bungee. It also looks like if one were to slip out of the loop, it would just fly down towards the ground and not hit anything. I dunno, we'll see.

I can see number 2 hitting somone and knocking them unconcious.

I think easy snap buttons would work easy too.

Actually why don't they just build a huge hangar over C ramp where we can preflight in a nice warm environment, no nose covers.
