Haha well they are nice but you better have good credit and alot of knowledge on how to maintain and fix engine and tranny components. I youst to have one and I loved it but it ate gas like it was nothing and when things did break down they were expensive and sometimes scomplicated. also you had to use 91 octane gas which can be pricey for the 19 to 16 gallon tank in the tacoma depending on the year. -farva

| Senior Member | It's not luxury, it's a work horse. People tend to turn it into a fashion show. That is what's annoying.

| Why does it annoy you so much? What do you care what other people spend their money on?

| The only reason it annoys me is LOTs of people do that very thing. What does any business do? They cater to their biggest market as much as possible. The result is basically completely worthless half ton trucks and SUVs. You might as well just lumb midsize SUVs with vans now.

| They're basically the toyota equivalent to the H2, err maybe more like the H3, unfortunatly. Could have been better. At least they aren't huge and don't suck down gas. They have the same affect as the H3 though in that it's really mostly show and no go.

Snow removal is completely non-existant here. The other thing I don't understand is why they put sand down when it's cloudy. Sand only works when the sun is out.

maybe for a bit of traction? not sure. id take 2 inches of fluffy snow over the glaze ice crap they create by scraping the roads.

| I don't understand that at all. They leave a thin layer of snow on the sidewalks to where a thin layer of ice forms... had they left it alone in the first place I'd have a nice few inches of snow which is MUCH easier to walk on than ice. I always end up walking where the grass is or on the sides of the road...rather than the sidewalk... in order to avoid having to use the costly monthly health insurance plan I pay for so that Alerus does not rape me for $800 just to walk in and say "hi!"

The alerus center sucks. It cost 400 dollars for 5 stiches in my thumb when I cut the crap out of it with a box cutter. I'm not sure if that's high or not. I know it wasn't even a hundred when I had my hands checked out a few years ago when I thought I broke them, incuding exrays. Sprained hands suck ass!

| Well if they really dump it down, it does add some traction where it still resembles snow. The main purpose of sand is to heat up in the sun and melt the ice and snow in sub-zero temps, since salt doesn't work below 0*. That's my understanding at least. I could be wrong.

I'm normally the guy you'd maybe see on a construction site that cuts their arm and bandages it with duct tape and keeps working or gets shot in the shoulder and just says it's flesh wound. However, when my entire thumb and part of my hand instantly went numb hitting it with a brand new box cutter I figured I had better get it checked out.

salt is used to just melt the ice and it works down to about -10 degrees. Sand is used as a alternate because it does not melt the ice but rather giver you traction and cuts the ice into a rigid and raspy surfcace so that when you drive you get better traction. ND uses Sand because its cheaper and well salt kill crops!!! MN still likes using the slat but soon they wont be anymore. there ya go. -Farva

![]() It's just sad to see a 1999-2001 car with rust all over it. Very sad. It seems that people here tend to not take care of there cars, but some do. You'll see some 1980's cars with no rust - those people washed there cars often to get the salt off/ice off and kept the paint waxed.
