Default CFI hiring

There was talk a little while back about the spring CFI hiring workshop. We just got an email saying there will be one. Hop on crewlink and fill out your application if interested. Not sure how many they plan on hiring. Good luck, hope to see a few more JC members join the ranks as UND flight instructors.

Here's what the email said:

And here's a link to the thread where I outlined what the fall hiring workshop was like. Hope it helps.

Hey thanks! I filled that thing all out, hopefully all goes well. It's hard to think that just 2 years ago I was only a private pilot and now I'm gona be teaching someone how to fly.

Hey, there was one thing I wanted to ask. Do they limit you to a maximum amount of credits you're allowed to take if you're a part-time instructor?

I won't be trying anything crazy next semester since I'll be in CFII. But after that, I really need to take 18 credits per semester to finish up relatively on time. A flight lab is just like having like 2 classes, so I figure that without one of those, I don't see 18 being that big of a deal.

I'm sure one of the part timers will chime in on the specifics, but they require that you have a certain time block available (something like 6 consecutive hours) 3 times a week (MWF or TRS).

See, now that would be something that would be nice to be informed of when we recieve information about the hiring workshop so that we can schedule classes accordingly. Luckily, I do have a bunch of time free anyway, but I was thinking more along the lines of like 3 or 4 hours.

If you have more than 15 or 16 (I want to say) credits they'll give you most likely one 102 student. I think I remember Blackmun talking about it in one of our meetings
