Default i love ND wx

thanks to the unforecast OVC005 today, this will make 7 times being weathered for my 221 lesson 8 long XC

putting me 8 behind template now.

thus not letting me register for 222.

thus ####ing me for next semester.

i hate this ########.

i gave up early in my training of ever being done on time or on template. 221 was the only course i did finish on time, everything else was 2-4weeks late. not sure how i got 221 done on time, but i was close to end of semester

Crap happens, quit blaming the school and yourself and realize that stuff happens and you cant control it.

I feel your frustration, imagine trying to make a living instructing when the wx turns to crap. Not much fun. I weathered more flights than I went on last week. Gonna be a pretty crappy paycheck.

About getting into 222 next semester, you might not be screwed just yet. Keep plugging along and get the XC's done. The second block goes fast and isn't dependant on the wx at all. Good luck.

This makes me not feel bad for being sooo far behind in 102. I just hate how Im likely going to have a period where Im not flying in any course after I get my PPL. So there will be a giant period in time where I feel like I will be loosing stuff that I learned until I start 221 in the summer. I got weathered all weekend. Saturday and Sunday.

I am going to take out a lot of my required classes next semester if I dont get to do 221.

Hey, look what it's doing now though. It did the opposite to me yesterday. I was supposed to fly at 3 and it was clear all morning and early afternoon. Then at about 2:30, 1700 ovc. Being in CFI, I've become accustom to disappointment. I don't get near as pissed off as I used to. In 222 last year I would seriously dang near throw a temper tantrum like a 3 year old.

I really would like to try to get hired part time for the spring semester, but being 6 lessons behind right now, it isn't looking too promising. Although, I guess we don't need to be done by reading review day to take the pre hiring test. So, hopefully...

I finished everyone of my courses on template, except for 105. Made the attitude adjustment after that course and the rest was easy.

Did you have a full time job?

I've finished 112, 221, 323, and 325 on time. The rest have been past template but done by the end of the semester at the very least. Working any descent amount of hours makes a huge difference. Especially during the fall semester I've noticed. I've changed jobs and only work mornings now, so that helps a little. But with classes in the middle afternoon and work in the morning now, it's still hard when the daylight hours are short.

CFI would be a piece of cake if I didn't work. Although, less than 18 credits would help a little as well. Still, it would be MUCH easier without a job. I didn't have a job freshman year and college and flying was EASY. I still don't think I've quite gotten the hang of time management with having a job.
