Some of those wind gusts don't look to pleasant. Infact, I was just outside and thought I was going to get blown away walking on the bridge over the "English Coulee."

lol. . . I love how they report a peak wind when it was also reported at the hourly (first obs). Silly automated sensor and no one doing any QC. /weatherguyleavingnow. |

I flew in it this after noon right about dusk. I scared my instructor pretty bad when I took out my cross wind correction way too early before we had even done our roll out. |

28Kts? Thats it? I think our average wind up here is 28kts

it was more of the low altimeter settings (don't think i have ever seen below 29.5x) and how the wind went from calm (for here) to windy and gusty. most of the time it is about 15kts here

I got a 320 kt GS and landing was another story. Overall just another avergae day in GFK.

I remember its freaking hard walking to physics class from Smith when the winds are gusting to like 50, people going that direction are walking in a posed anti aerodynamic way and the people walking the opposite direction getting their butts blown.
