Thumbs down Ugh....

We just got back w/ a friend from watching one of those "Global Vision" films or whatever it is that they have weekly at the Union. The title of this week's film was, "Ma vie en rose." http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119590/
It was probably the most complete waste of time I've ever encountered from a movie (well, maybe Napoleon Dynamite was first). Anyway, it's about some boy who likes to crossdress and has this fantasy in his mind that he wants to marry his neighbor's son. He dresses up like a princess, and there's conflict in the family. It was a french movie, and it SUCKED, not to mention their accents had my ears bleeding. The main point of the movie was how the family was in conflict as a result of the boy being "different", but god it could have been made a lot better and not so stupid like it was. I've been robbed 88 minutes of my life.

hey Angel, do you hang out at the international center or belong to the international organization? Granted I'm graduating in a bit over a month, but I've always wanted to check that out, but just been too damn busy.

I meant watching the movie for 88 minutes was better than losing the 2.5 years... I worded it incorrectly.

Yeah, I do actually. The funny thing, though, is that I'm always there for any events they have but am not part of the IO. Haven't gotten around to joining the organization yet. I'm sure you're aware of the international nights every Thursday. I don't know if they have one this week though, but you should definitely come whenever they do have anything going on. I'm trying to get involved w/ OLA (Latin American Org.) now since I haven't done much group/organization/club stuff since I got here. IPA was just the first year, but didn't make me want to go back for the second.
But yeah, come whenever. I show up at the international center to play ping pong w/ whoever, if you're interested at all.

Yeah we have like 0.6 members in OLA at UND? since I got involved it's now 1.6...oh wait, Angel too...so that makes it 2.6.

I might have to swing by sometime...in my last month of school here. What didn't you like about IPA? I agree that the meetings aren't always the most exciting, but I really enjoy the people that are in that group. And when we actually DO activities, they're usually pretty fun.

Yeah the trips were definitely excellent, but I later found it somewhat pointless to be in the group if I wasn't going to attend the trips. I didn't have any more money to spend on them. The Denver trip was fantastic though. I enjoyed it much.

Alrighty, I'm out to the Wellness Center. Hopefully there won't be a ton of sausage taking up space in the precious squat racks.

Sweeet. It was rather empty when I went. I couldn't believe they didn't have any pads for squatting the barbells. I asked the guys, they looked everywhere, and couldn't find one. That's unbelievable. Not ONE single pad.
