Default Wellness Center

...It's one attractive building. I went tonight at 10:45PM to take a look at it, and I was pretty impressed with the final product. They included almost everything they said they would. Yes, there IS a rock climbing wall, how cool is that? And there's a lot of weight equipment. Overall, the design is great, but I still think they spent too much money on it. Maybe if they wouldn't had bought new treadmills with monitors attached to them (that don't work due to the interference from the running treadmill) it might have been 5 million dollars cheaper.
Nice building overall though

I'm gona go contribute to breaking it in tonight hopefully. I just hope it's not gona be constantly busy as hell with people that I know aren't really commited to going there for a long time. You know what I mean Angel. All these "new" people that suddenly invade the place trying to "get in shape" about 2 weeks before spring break. Especially the tredmills. Damn that's annoying. Whatever though, at least they do that I guess.

LOL... I hate it when those 50lb overweight girls steal the treadmills so they can fit into bikinis when they go to Florida for spring break. Then when they return they shove more food in their face and stop going to the gym. I did not just say that

Just trying to show how ignorant certain statements can be.

But reading what you wrote, does make me think you have a lot to learn.

As for the Wellness Center, I'm glad it's finally open. No more running outside.

I'm just super happy that UND discovered the amazing technology called air-conditioning The old gym was shut down most of the summer due to heat to the point where I just gave up and stopped going. I'd always call before hand and they'd be like "nope, it's 60 degrees outside, have to close down"... I'm exaggerating, but it was usually closed when the mercury rose above 85 degrees.

Does anyone know anything about the pool? I heard it might be added in the future, pending additional raping of students' money.

If you're referring to the buffalo women thing...
Again, your gf is NOT one of'em. She's one of the few exceptions.

Yeah, that's very true....but I have a feeling it's gonna be the same now that this new Wellness Center was just built...Everyone's gonna want to run in and just take up space for the hell of it. I guess it's natural since we're all paying for it and wanna feel like we're getting our money's worth...but going to the gym once every three months doesn't help you. Might as well not go lift.
But OMG, yeah....everyone does that.....they go lift one month prior to spring break as if they're gonna come out buff in one month. Ignorance.

Oh, btw....they have five squat racks now. I was hoping they'd have a little more, but being how most guys are too pussy to squat, five racks is probably the right amount. I just don't want to wait as long as you would have to at the Hyslop...

Since so many people who go in to lift only work out the biceps and pecs (barbell/dumbell curls and bench only!)...which is why their arms look asymmetrical. It's funny to see huge biceps and chest but no triceps and no back muscles and no glutes/hamstrings/calves/etc. Doesn't make sense haha.

Or people just blatenly lifting improperly. Their ego is too high to lift proper amounts of weight, so they go from station to station doing two reps. That's more or less the stuff that pisses me off because they take 20 minutes to do this at every single station. I think the funniest thing to see is someone run around doing a completely useless work-out and then popping creatine and amino 1000 at the end. Creatine is bad, but why waste the money on amino1000 if you're not even breaking anything down?

I'm glad there's more squat racks. That alone was part of the reason for me never doing leg and lower back stuff.
