| http://studentservices.aero.und.edu/....php?JobID=575 Not sure if many of you guys have seen this one yet. Looks like a PFT scam to me and a questionable flight time scenario as well.

as I see it, here are the advantages of an internship 1) go somewhere cool 2) do something different 3) get paid For me to want to go, it has to have at least 2 of the 3 things, this has 0

Yeah, Fargo Jet Center has been doing this for quite some time now. I think someone posted about this on here a long time ago. Either way, something is a little fishy. I bet it's good experience, but don't you need to be SIC qualified to log the Pt. 135 flight time, plus isn't the King Air a single-pilot airplane?!? Here is the fine print: Cost of optional flight training to the student is estimated at $3000 if they choose to be 135 qualified with Fargo Jet Center covering the remaining costs. Also... Internship unpaid; paid opportunities to work w/Fargo Jet Center's Line Department. So, basically you have to work the line when not flying to make a living and pay rent...!?! They are indeed a great FBO and have VERY good service. BUT, you pay for this service in their outrageous gas prices. When I took the Cadet down to Fargo, I had to go there instead of the other FBO down south of the field that costs about 15% cheaper in gas (stupid owner was playing golf and promised me he'd be there)...so instead I went up north to Fargo Jet Center. Upon arrival, a golf cart immediately arrived at the airplane and took me to the lobby where they gave me the keys to a Buick Le Sabre (actually, it was pretty luxurious ride for an FBO crew car). Went to Famous Dave's, then flew back. That dinner cost approx $220 LOL...good thing I had someone to split it the costs.

Yum Famous Daves. Love the ribs there. Fargo is getting a Texas Roadhouse too, might have to give that a shot sometime.

| I like Famous Daves but real Texas BBQ is MMMMMM tasty. There's this place back at home owned by a family from Tennessee...if you don't have your order ready by the time you get to the counter, they yell at you. It's great though because it ads to the experience of ordering BBQ. They want you to be fast and know what you want. There's alway a line well out the door at dinner time. If you order onion rings, expect to receive a large brown bag full of them that would feed a family of 15 ...exaggeration but it's a lot of food for real cheap.

| the texas roadhouse is neither texan nor a roadhouse. just another POS brinker chain reheated-freezer food dump.

Sanders is where it's at. I know it is expensive, but the food there is great and the servers actually give a damn. | |

| The service at Sanders is excellent. The servers there can read your mind - whenever you need them, they're right there. The food is great too. During the school year I go there almost every Saturday for the live jazz and the late night menu with a nice glass of wine. If anyone wants some very good food for a descent price ($8.99 for Prime Rib sandwich...yum), I highly recommend going after 10pm.
