Default Grand Forks Air Show

Did anyone else go to the airshow? The best part was the Thunderbirds

At least the beer was only $3. It's usually at least $5 at events like that.

I went, ran into Snickersnwa and Joekster there. It was a good show, loved the Thunderbirds and the F15 demo.

The F15 demo was pretty sweet... i'm glad I stuck around for that, but the line to get out took forever...

The B-2 flybys were pretty cool.but the thunderbirds really stole the show. they also had quite a few static displays which i wasnt expecting. the best part had to be the embry riddle ads that were played all day .

The Thunderbirds were very impressive. The best was when four of them formed a vertical diamond and a fourth flew through the middle

I was working out there, and the airbase had food for us in a lounge and the thunderbird pilots were all up there so I got to meet them, which was cool.

I was there, as was about 1/6th of the state. I heard on the news they estimate that between 80 and 120 thousand people were there. Was a pretty good show, especially for Grand Forks. When I get a chance I'll upload the pictures I took to my site and post the link.

I figured approximately 6 people were remaining in the city, excuse me, town of Grand Forks during the airshow.

well, 60 some pictures of the massive amount of pics I took at the airshow, just click on the link below, it'll be in the "aviation photography" folder. Lots more to come when I get enough time.

I believe he has a Canon 300D (aka, Rebel XT)... but for some reason I wanna say 20D.

Gawd I really want a new 30D! For now I have to resort to my Canon Rebel G (just a film SLR).

yup, you're right with the 300D, thanks for the comment on the pictures. They could have been better if they flew in the morning so the sun was shining from behind me, but I'm pretty happy with how they came out, all things considered.

Very nice photos Emu, I still have to scan mine too lazy. I loved that it was a nice sunny day and the show was free, only problem was leaving the show and the slow traffic and minivans that block your view.
