Default What's everyone doin' for 4th of July?

Tomorrow I am fleeing Grand Forks. I'll be in Califor-nee-a in Lake Tahoe at the family cabin... yay! I arrive into Reno, Nevada (Best Little City In The World, as it's called) and will be staying at Harrah's with my brother. His flight arrives almost the same time. I'll be doing some gambling at the big boy casinos...then on Saturday it's off to Lake Tahoe, CA (30 minutes west) for a nice relaxing vacation.

Seems like most people are fleeing Grand Forks for the holiday...where are y'all going?

Oh a beer sounds so good right now. I'm still packing. I am bringing my whole house with me, it seems.

Tx....

Do you have somewhere you are going? If you just want to drink and watch fireworks, give me a ring. I am 20-30 mins west of the MOA and will be at home. Drinking, Grilling, and watching fireworks. You can see the city's firecrackers right from my deck.......

I'll be working at the airport. So just like last year, I'll go up to the top of the tower and watch the fireworks from the different towns on the island.

Since most of my friends are probably going to have stage checks next week, we're having our party tonight. We've got a T.V., a couch, a recliner, and a couple cans of old gas. If only my dad could send me up these fireworks my friends and I back home affectionatly call "Tom bombs".(apparently named that since I'm the one that brings them I guess haha ) If we could only start this inferno with those.

Don't worry, were doing the fire THEN getting silly drunk. The other way around would probably be kinda dangerous.

I'm finally back in Grand Forks after being gone for a few weeks. Now I'll be gone for anohter week.

Leaving Grand Forks for extended periods of time makes this place tolerable!

Yeah, gotta be careful with that since the UND forum is like the third most active forum on here. Which may or may not be sad.

Well, my 4th of July vacation was great! Did lots of hiking in the California wilderness and enjoyed the snow-capped mountain views, swimming in Lake Tahoe, scent of the pine trees, twisty mountain roads, and excellent food!

I'll post pics soon...
