Default Seven cars broken into last night

I know this is the Grand Forks area and NOTHING can ever happen here because crime rate is so wonderful here right? Well wrong.

Seven cars in a row got broken into at my friend's apartment last night in ghetto East Grand Forks. We were up until 4:45am and it happened around 5:00am. Three teenagers stole 4 stereos, 1 hydralic jack, and caused a lot of damage to every car. Two of my friends cars are damaged with one of their stereo's being taken.

The cops chased them last night but they ran away. Now here's the shocker... the idiot theives were so smart that they had to leave all the stolen goods in PLAIN view in their SUV one block away. They know who the person is now that they were so intelligent as to leave evidence...they've narrowed it down to 3 underage teenagers. The SUV was towed away for inspection

My car was untouched (amazingly). It was the only one out of a couple other cars that weren't touched...and I had the most amount of stereo equipment out of the others. What's really wierd is they went for mainly the crappy cars... '93 Chevy Cavelier, a totalled '03 Mazda Protege in non-running condition, some old Dodge minivan, Chrysler Lebaron, and some other 80's American car (can't remember which kind)...and then a nice newer Mustang, which has minor glass scratches.

Watch out!

Just to clarify, East Grand Forks is in MN

I had the pleasure of catching some punks breaking into my car for my head unit while in GFK. The car was a convertible, so I always left the doors unlocked so if someone really wanted something they wouldn't cut the top. Well it is about 2 in the mornin (cue Dr Dre) and I can hear that sound of vinyl being cut since my bedroom window is open. I peak out and these two criminal masterminds are cutting the top and are now too short to reach the door lock. I grab my easton and sneak out the entrance that would put me behind them. I run up behind one of these punks and just slam the bat into the back of his thigh, didn't want to kill him, just let him know I was there. Oh he howled and his buddy took off, stereo in hand, dammit. I thought about tuning up homeboy there on the ground but just kicked him in his already bruised thigh and told him to get the hell out of dodge (really didn't feel like explaining to the cops why I whooped up on him). Top needed to be replaced anyway, but in retrospect, it would have been nice for these little punks parents to pay for the new one (only cost me 100 bucks through insurance). That was money well spent for getting the satisfaction of catching these guys.

Matsuyo IS always garaged at night, but I stayed the night at a friend's house because I had a few to drink and couldn't safely drive home.

Badass, should have swinged the bat on the other one too. Except you might have had the cops crack you down.
Sad part is you can't even lawfully catch these people either sometimes especially when the cops in Grand Forks (east and west) are too busy fooling with burnt out headlights, people innocently cruising, and making sure people are not "having a little too much fun" since that is illegal here.
