Not sure who he is or what that course is but i have a little over 30 hours in t-wheel mostly citabria with some cessna 170,180,195 and J-3 time sprinkled in between. Most fun i have had flying by far. I feel like a student pilot again...sometimes i just go up and stay in the pattern and do 20 landings because every landing is different and challenging in its own way, and low and slow over the So Cal coast in a J-3 with the doors open...you can not beat it. Not to mention when you are done and you get back in the tri gear you will be amazed by your landings..I will not say they are all greasers but they certainly have a lighter touch and the centerline is almost a given....just my two cents! You will have a blast!

I had Blackmun for my 102 ground school. He was pretty good despite having the class late at night. There were a couple times I could tell he just didn't want to be there though. Who would? He seems like he would be a fun guy to fly with.

Blackmun is a good guy, I got along with him really well when I was an instructor. They must really, really be short tailwheel instructors for Mike to be climbing into a Decathalon!

I am going to hijack this thread for a few quick post if you do not mind....

I am Twheel endorsed and i will be getting my CFII.....Can i instruct in Twheel aircraft? Or is there something else that i would need to get accomplished first. Because i would definately love to be certified to teach in some Twheels to mix it up.

Is the CFII your initial CFI, or do you already have your CFI?

If you're already a CFI you may instruct in a T-wheel aircraft, if you're NOT a CFI you're limited to instrument instruction only in that aircraft.

The problem is, everyone that does tailwheel/acro is busy. There aren't too many tailwheel students in the summer, but seems to be a lot of acro. I'm gone till the beginning of July but if I weren't, I'd could have 5 or tailwheel/acro students if I wanted.

That is enough to keep a guy busy!
