It took me 5 and a half months to get it 1 month over the normal semester. I have been on Jetcareers since I was 16 in 2004, worked on my private then stopped and contunied up here at UND, I just want to Thank Doug and all of the people that make this site possible, its very valauble filled with people that can help and with information on this site.~thank you again.

I've only used 26 once and 8 twice since August 2004.

Okay...I'm not a UND student so I'm wondering what the major signifigance of which runway was in use at the time of a check ride. After all a runway is a runway,is a runway...right? Is there terrain perhaps at the end of these runways that you UND students aren't firmilar with that causes different DP's to be used after takeoff?

Nope. It is just a regular runway, and pretty much identical to every other runway in Grand Forks except for the fact it is hardly ever used because of the direction of the winds here. It does have non-standard takeoff minimums if you are flying IFR because of some tower way off in the distance, but this is no big deal and most people don't even know about it.

Congrats man. Getting my PPL was probably the best moment I've had at UND.

Yeah, I've only used 26 a handfull of times. I wouldn't even know how to get to runway 8.

I wish we could use runway 8 more. That one looks the most interesting to me. I dont know why, but it does. Could be just that I've never used it.

It's also better climbing and seeing a town and junk in front of you rather than flatland.
