Default I'm Coming...

Hey guys, So, I'll be in GFK for the Getting Started Program on June 10-14 (stupid NWA and their Saturday night stayover). So pretty much, I just wanted to let you all know i'll be there and staying in the housing and all. I was wondering though, my flight gets in around 11:20pm. I know the housing office or whatever closes at 12:00am--first of all, do I just call a cab or something to make the trip between the airport and campus? and secondly, will I be able to make it to the office in time before they close down for the night???

thanks a lot guys,

bauer

Kinda off the topic but I'll be there June 10-14 also! Yeah NWA and the Saturday kinda sucks but hey I guess we'll be able to see more of where we'll live the next 5 years.

You can either call a cab or when it gets closer to June 10th, post on here and maybe one of us can give you a ride from the airport to the housing office. Also... doesn't the aviation shuttle operate pretty late? or no?

Nah, the shuttle stops running at 10:00PM and it only runs once an hour starting at 7PM...might be different in the summer though...

Yeah guys, just post here before you leave or something.

Don't listen to him.

Some people get through the courses on time, and some don't.

He didn't and is now disgruntled.

Check that out before your final go here kid. also keep in mind UND Aerospace Forces you to lease these laptops ive had it for ayear I broke the crap out of it for malfunctioning jsut 5 mintues ago so im downstairs usign service center computer.

On a positive note, teachers/instructors (not flight) are top notch as well as the facilities and fleet, without question, you'll see, feel free to contact me if your here ill show you around if im not in class or whatever. from my understanding your an ATC major so your in good hsape you wouldnt have to put up with UND aerospaces crap for long, our ATC program is one of the best in the nation, get a degree in mangment or soemthign just so you have something to fall back on.

Sorry Chris, you're starting to get pretty irrational here so I gotta put my foot down and disagree with you a little.

You say your experiance at UND has been pretty bad, I dont doubt it has but at the same time you've mentioned that you've unsat a stage check or two. Therein lies the beginning or your problems. The TCOs aren't setup with unsats in mind. They expect you to go into all your stage checks prepared and pass them and move on.

ALL problems I've ever had with my flight training began with an unsat on a stage check. It's just a given that that will set you back a lot. You unsat, spend one of your good flying days reviewing and potentially another good day if not more finishing up the stage check. Of which could have been used to continue with your training. Sometimes there are "special" circumstances that prevent people from getting done on time. While you might not have gotten done before the end of the semester due to weather and flight ops issues, those unsats didnt help you out either.

Im not bashing you by anymeans, but you're getting pretty out of hand. Everyone has bumps in the road during their training. You just have to deal with it and move on. I really dont have any room to talk on that matter since I've done more than my share of whining on here. But you know what I mean. You should at least.

Chris, you need to take it down a notch man. Start taking some responsibility for your flight training. UND flight ops aren't out to get you and they are not the reason you haven't finished 102 on time. I saw you out at the airport today. It looked like you were doing a stage check or perhaps reviewing for one. How'd that go for you?

And that website you posted is BS. Stick around and take Aviation Safety and you will get the real/full stories about all of the UND accidents from Dana, with pictures.

Also, might I ask why you are making fun of an actual UND student in your avatar and signature? Ever consider that he may lurk/post here? That's pretty #####ty of you dude.

Chris, Just an FYI, but that "kid" that you're making fun of in your avatar can put on his resume now that he's part of a NIFA championship flying team. He competed this last year, and did very well. Again, it's all what you put into it man...

Chris... no man... I'm serious... I really dislike seeing someone being made fun of. Who really cares if he is a "dork"? Everyone has their own thing. Come one man, try to use something else... you can make fun of me or somethin'

Peers? I do listen, anyway Im goign to go to a community college not far from my house I paid 106 for 3 credits (over summer of 2005).+30 for book (parking and ID card fees included)+gas which will be pretty cheaper than UND. I have spoken with a counselor at ASU and im going to get my transcript sent and see waht will count and what won't. Im eyeing theyre AMT in airport/aviatonn mangment. However their tuition costs way more than UNDies, but me paying 500+ for a roudn trip tickeet form GFK-MSP-LAX might just be equal to ASU's tuiton.

UND is a good aerospace school however as my new jersye friend said "I put my foot in the water I found out it was too cold". he said that to me after he trasnfered.
