I have spoken with a counselor at ASU and im going to get my transcript sent and see waht will count and what won't. Im eyeing theyre AMT in airport/aviatonn mangment. However their tuition costs way more than UNDies, but me paying 500+ for a roudn trip tickeet form GFK-MSP-LAX might just be equal to ASU's tuiton.

UND is a good aerospace school however as my new jersye friend said "I put my foot in the water I found out it was too cold". he said that to me after he trasnfered.
Yeah...ASU tution is kinda YIKES! But it is a good school and the largest in the country and as a result they have jacked tution up to represent both aspects. That and they want to be known as more of a "research university." I'm glad that your coming out here (no not so we can play "hide the anaconda.") but because it sounds like maybe it will be a better fit for you educationally.

Now that being said ASU isn't heaven on earth I'm sure it's aviation department has it up's and down's as well. If you want more info concerning that I'd recomend talking to "Missedapproach" he is a CFI in the ASU program.

So here is to hoping you find better results with ASU but if we hear you bitching about it as hard as you bitch bout UND then it will be evident that the problem isn't with the universites but with you! Are you coming out here for the fall 06 sememster?

Never said its gonna be easier just the fact im moving out and going to change again isent easy. In my whole academic career since PRe-school-now ive been through 8 dfferent schools, you keep movingtill you find whats right for you, I thought and sincerly hoped UND would be, but it isent so i
ll move someplace else. honeslty im not in the worst case scenario UND student. im not that bad some people take 1-2 years getting their ppl here. but I refuse to let them take me down and hold me back any longer unlike many others.

Careful on the ASU thing. I think it was 114 today.

As my friends in Utah say, "OH MY HECK!"

Indeed it was. I was driving to a friends party on 75th ave at 5pm and Andrew's rear view miror equiped with digital directional and tempurature read out said it was 114. Yikes...I wonder how hot it was at 1-2 pm. Its only the first few days in June, time to settle in for a long hot summer July and more especially August are gonna be brutal!

wow from bitter cold (-40F, though it was a "mild winter" this year it was lie that for about a week)- extremly hot to 114 hmm.... that Columbia Jacket Vertex I bought with an inner polyester lining, waterproof, wind proof, with hood will now be pointless while walking to class :/

I'm not so sure that it is "them" (UND) that holds people back, and delays them completing the courses. 90% of the time it is the actual student and his/her individual habits which slow down progression through the program. The templates for the flying courses provide more than ample time to complete the courses if you stay on top of things.

There are things that have held me back that was definetly in UND's hands. However was only agravated by unsatting a stage or running out of money temporarally. In ALL cases in which a flight ops issue held me back, the affect it had in preventing me from finishing anything on time was nill. Only MY actions afterwards or beforehand had an affect, i.e. unsatting a stage check or going to a lesson unprepaired.

We'll still see how I feel about that after doing 325 over the summer. I am getting pretty frustrated right now with the lack of aircraft availability, but I'll keep the whining to a minimum and hope for the best for right now.

ya.. but the thing you really need to keep in mind is that the more often you change schools, the more schooling you actually have to take!!! no university is easy so whether you stick it out at one school or move to another, it's not going to get any easier AND you'll have to take even more credits to graduate. Worse thing I remember was having to take classes twice!!! The fact that I had to do it simply because the school wouldn't accept particular classes seemed so stupid, but you still have to do it.

so keep that in mind! you may think switching schools will make it easier academically, but it won't.

Good point Kristie!

A friend of mine was a freshman at a local state school for architecture this past year. In the fall he is transferring to a larger architecture school in Boston. The thing that sucks is that only ONE credit was transferrable. And it was a English Credit. Everything else was not acceptable. Now I know that UND holds a higher standing and the credits are pretty much transferrable but a message to anyone thinking about transferring at any school - be ready to start all over again...
