study minutae. he loves detailed explanations of characteristics and procedures that other people might not cover. know the FARs, know the UND opspecs, know the AFM and the airplane limitations. understand ANDS and UNOS even though you're not an instrument student.

oh, and if you're not a staunch republican, just ignore the GOP propoganda and rush limbaugh items in his office. if you're a republican, you automatically earn your PPL, -IA, -ME, CFI, CFII, MEI, and ATP-unrestricted with this one checkride.

Hey I wasn't dissin' them haha.... I had a 1983 Honda Accord with 286,000 miles before I sold it Summer of 2004. Air conditioning still worked and it's 75HP and 84 ft-lbs of torque could propel the 1900 lb tin can to 0-60 in about 10 seconds! haha 32 MPG in the city, 45MPH on HWY.

oh and a few high points:

question: "how do you find where an AME is for your next medical exam"

my response: "google it"

question: "interpret this text radar summary"

my response: "i can look up a graphical representation and get a better understanding of the situation. this tells me about as much as braille dots."

Thats him allright. I had a stagecheck with him and it wasn't too bad. He was fair but he asked some CFII stuff when I was in 221.

Two words for you "Ronald Reagan". When he was my office mate about 2.5 years ago he had a Ronny R. calendar that he was sooooo proud of. All kidding aside, he is a terrific guy and I see you found that out. Congrats on passing, and if it matters, I don't think I could read a textual radar summary report anymore! It is a wx product that just isn't really used much anymore with all of the new internet wx sites. Good luck on the flight.
