I dont know that area but if your on foot you cant go wrong with a good ole crank bait and spinning reel for small mouth or large mouth. Get nightcrawlers and some sinkers for some catfishing.

I hope you are joking!

I've heard the best "close" place to go is Larimore dam. However, that doesn't seem all that close to me. Others seems to think Devils Lake is the best...but I think you need a boat, and yet again it is way too far just to go fishing. I'm thinking there has got to be some little pond somewhere locally with some decent fish in it.

Larimore damn is only 20 minutes away, plus there's about 3% more scenery there...which is nice (two trees instead of one per sq mile). Not far at all.

Absolutley Disagree, the irrigation canals leading off from East Ponds and Lagoons are way better, when you cook the fish gives a nice smell, already marinated. MMMM

I'm with Jace. Everytime I go SCUBA diving in the coulee, I see lots of fish, so there must be good fishing.

Have you gone scuba diving in lagoon? I've always wanted to own prime beachfront property at lagoon, with a single-wide dwelling preferably. Double-wide is my dream though.
